A B O U T
CHEF. CULINARY EDUCATOR. MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCATE. CURATOR OF EXPERIENCES
Britta Kramer is an artist at heart and a curator of experiences. Her first memory of food is in her grandmother's kitchen as a little girl. A passionate, Austrian woman, Anna's love for creating a lush experience in her food captured Britta's imagination from childhood and formed her passion for creating transformative experiences through food. An artist of experiences, Britta weaves together events that engage all five senses, thoughtfully curating sight, smell, taste, and feel, tailored to each individual client or experience.
In 2006, Britta assisted the Food and Wine staff at Festival del Sole in Napa Valley, CA. While working alongside world-renowned chefs, she was inspired by California cuisine and well-curated events. This experience planted the seeds for a career that would intertwine food, wellness, and culture. Britta jumped at the chance to leave her Pharmaceutical position behind to embark on a 5-month adventure through unknown countries, where she allowed the world itself to be her culinary teacher. As she traveled, she connected with locals and chefs, learning about the endless styles of cooking and discovering how each culture used ingredients in ways that opened her eyes to new culinary possibilities.
Upon her return to Milwaukee in 2007, Britta founded Private Palate, a company with a vision to prepare fresh, local, whole foods while focusing on the balance and sustainability of the mind, body, and environment. She quickly became known for her ability to blend creativity, elegance, and health into culinary experiences that supported both personal wellness and the environment.
In 2012, Britta refined her talent at the International Culinary Institute in New York City, where she spent the next 10 years curating events and partnering with creatives and brands. Her ability to fuse artistry with healthful, sustainable food grew her reputation and attracted collaborations with a diverse range of high-profile clients.
“Britta models what it means to be a FutureMaker, and dares to create the conditions for us all to live the lives and careers that actually work for us and create genuine, supportive community. She is also extremely professional and creative. Britta brings a level of sophistication and beauty to health and wellness that is quite uncommon but so welcome!” — Victoria Foster, Co-Founder FutureWomenX
Britta’s culinary journey led her to work with A-list celebrities and professional athletes across the MLB, NBA, NHL, and PGA, as well as with brands including VH1, Harpo Productions, and Harley Davidson. Over two decades, Britta’s philosophy grew stronger: food nourishes not only the body but also the mind, and can be a bridge to mental and emotional well-being.
Her culinary ethos is rooted in the belief that nourishing food transforms our bodies and supports our mental health. Her recipes focus on the balance and sustainability of the mind, body, and environment, and she aims to help her clients foster a deeper connection with their food while promoting environmental responsibility.
In 2016, Britta spent three months living in Bali, immersing herself in meditation, plant-forward cuisine, and learning how anti-inflammatory ingredients can be used to prevent and fight disease. This experience led to the creation of From Root to Blossom, her signature virtual cooking workshops. These workshops reflect her philosophy of using every part of the produce to reduce food waste while also focusing on wellness and sustainability. The workshops are ideal for corporate wellness, team-building, and special events, teaching individuals and organizations how to be mindful of both their food choices and their environmental impact.
In 2019, Britta took her culinary expertise and compassion a step further by working with First Descents, an adventure camp for cancer survivors, as a health-supportive chef. This role allowed her to combine her passion for wellness with a deeply personal mission to support those in need, helping cancer survivors reclaim their health through nourishing food.
Throughout her career, Britta has become not only a culinary educator and wellness expert but also a true advocate for mental health. She believes that food is more than sustenance—it’s a powerful tool for healing, connection, and transformation. Through her work, she strives to create an environment where food can heal and empower people, whether in the kitchen or in the workplace.
As Britta continues to expand her work and reach, she remains committed to her mission: to help people embrace a lifestyle that nourishes their bodies, minds, and the planet, one meal at a time.
Her culinary travels took her around the globe. She has spent extensive time in Mexico, Thailand, Bali, and Europe. Throughout her travels, she connects with locals and chefs to learn how food can heal. It is her mission to share with the world how the food we eat transforms our body and mind.
Her most recent projects are Self-love Dinners and LoveMKE,a Summer “Soulstice” Celebration in Milwaukee’s Deer District to raise the vibration of the city by curating an experience focused on Breath (Meditation), movement + nourishment - 3 pillars that support our mental and physical well-being.
Her work has been featured in publications like Milwaukee Magazine, Onmilwaukee, Women’s Health, NPR, and Interwoxn Podcast.
